August 2008

Creative Vision - Thursday August 7th 9:30 - 12:00

Come learn 3 new techniques - fringe, scallop edging, and trapunto.  Also come with ideas for futiure get-togethers.  Bring a show-and-tell of something stitched out on your Creative Vision.  Also, there are going to be updates to our machines in the coming weeks.  We will be contacting you as soon as they are available.

ABC Club - August 9th and 16th - from 1:00 pm to 3 pm– Pattern weights, coaster and trivet, “in-the-hoop” change purse AND a koozie.  Are you all up to a challenge?  We have 4 different projects this month.  Yup 4 of them.  First, whether you’re creating a great outfit or appliqué, never pin your pattern to your fabrics again.  Pattern weights are the answer.  Make as many as you need because they’re made right in the hoop!  It’s addicting.  And a really cool gift for anyone sews or quilts, great for gift exchanges too.  Then a coaster and trivet project (thank you Anita Carlson); so easy, so cool and it uses up some of those scraps of fabric you have left over.  Then and “in the hoop” change purse-fast, easy and fun.  Last – make your very own personalized can koozie.  Use a design or your initials or whatever but make it your very own.  Hey this would be great for weddings, family reunions, and picnics.  The koozie is the right size for your can sodas or a water bottle and it helps keeps the drink cold too.  Okay you all up to the challenge?  Sign up now while there’s still room!
